This dessert looks both elegant and exotic---and so easy to make! It's a natural to whip up while the grill is still hot. If you have a freezer on your Formula, a scoop of vanilla or coconut ice cream is the perfect complement.
2 tablespoons - Butter melted
1/2 cup - Brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon - Cinnamon
1 tablespoon - Lemon juice
1 each - Fresh pineapple peeled, cored and sliced 1/2" thick
1 each - Pound cake
1 pint - Fresh strawberries, sliced
* Whipped cream or ice cream
Combine the butter, sugar,cinnamon and lemon juice. Spread glaze on both sides of pineapple slices. Scrape grill clean of any leftover meat bits. Place pineapple on grill and cook over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, turning once, until sugar mixture melts and pineapple is heated and tender.
Meanwhile, slice the pound cake and place on dessert plates. Top with grilled pineapple and sliced strawberries (or other seasonal fruit). Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream right before serving.
