The January 2009 issue of Boating World tested the 270 Bowrider, with rave reviews. “The 270 BR introduces new design in the dash as well as throughout the sporty cockpit. Designed for flexibility and customization, the 270 BR will be a sure-fire hit.” Citing the attention-commanding dash, the easily accessible head and family-friendly design with many features and great styling, the 270 BR “is sure to please everyone.” “The cockpit makes for easy, all-day entertaining for family and friends alike...with so many customizable options, your perfect day on the water will be what you always dreamed of.”

The 240 Bowrider was also tested in this issue. The article begins with the 240 BR as its entry-level model, adding that Formula hasn’t “scrimped on the details like the quality of fit and finish the brand is known for.” “Formula is all about letting owners custom equip each boat, so you don’t have to pay for features you don’t want.” However, the Boating World editors noted “even ordering an ‘off the rack’ 240 comes with a convertible sunpad that transforms into an aft-facing chaise lounge, a highpowered stereo with four speakers and iPod connection, and a helm equipped with a Richie compass, depth meter, Dino tilt steering wheel and Livorsi gauges.” Addressing the boat’s performance, “handling and cornering were superb as we threw it into hard turns without complaint or ventilation...very easy to control” at top speed.
We appreciate Boating World’s solid reviews and recognizing big results, even in our smallest models! |
