What Formula that isn't a FAS3TECH® or a Super Sport rates an article and an award from Powerboat Magazine? The deep-V-bottom Formula 350 Sun Sport! The March 2008 issue stated: "The luxurious wide-beam boat was a terrific reminder of what makes boating so much fun," followed by, "The boat had plenty of room to entertain but still had enough performance to keep even the most seasoned drivers " The cockpit received favorable attention for "abundant seating", especially the "aft facing sun lounge that converted to a full sunpad."

"At first glance, the 61.3 miles per hour for a boat—especially in this magazine—might not seem overly impressive. But when you dig deeper, the speed was impressive...The boat got on plane in 5.9 seconds...It got only highest marks in slalom turns at 30, 40 and 50 mph." The article also noted in a sidebar, "What We Loved: A wide-beam boat that can sleep people comfortably and run 60-plus mph." Summing it up, the article offers this: "For Powerboat's test drivers, who make their living putting up big numbers, to take note of a cruiser's performance, that tells you Formula has something special with its 350 Sun Sport...
