Glencove Marine's annual Formula Rendezvous was held July 26-27, and it was celebrated in "Indiana Jones" style! The Rendezvous kicked off on Saturday, July 26, at the Forbidden Cove—otherwise known as the Glencove Yacht Club.
As guests arrived, each captain received an itinerary and a Captain's bag filled with t-shirts, a 2008 Rendezvous flag, safari hat and other supplies that were fitting for any adventurer! Each captain also picked a number, and the purpose of the number would be determined at the dinner later in the evening.
At 10:30 a.m., everyone gathered for a group photo before departing on a scavenger hunt. Each captain and crew were to bring back items on the list and present them to the Glencove Staff. As the participants were out on the scavenger hunt, the Glencove crew was preparing a delicious barbeque lunch.
As parents relaxed and visited, the Glencove Marine crew of Pam Lepper and Pat Lemens led their kids on a Treasure Hunt. The kids visited the "Mummy Gallery," "Snake Pit," "Crocodile Creek" and "Pankot’s Palace," picking up clues along the way which led them to the final destination—a treasure! Later, all participants met at Forbidden Cove to present the items they found on the scavenger hunt. The guests were treated to a delicious buffet, and after dinner, more games and entertainment—it was a great evening for everyone, with prizes and fun had by all!
