Northwest Boat Center's '08 Formula Rendezvous

17 Formulas and 48 participants signed up for Northwest Boat Center's Annual 2008 Rendezvous held on June 21, 2008, on the Columbia River. The River flows by the picturesque town of Cathlamet, which was named for the early Chinookan tribes who lived there. The trip was 56 miles one way and decorated with a background of beauty—a perfect opportunity to take in all of nature's surroundings.

After the boaters reached the Elochoman Slough Marina, Northwest Boat Center owner Buzz Neilsen greeted them with gift bags filled with fun Formula gear. The Northwest Boat Center staff, along with Formula regional sales manager Jon Earl and wife Jeanette, had organized a day of fun and activities for their owners filled with a marathon of games. The games included a fast-paced relay of golfing, ring toss, canoeing and a three-legged race. The participants enjoyed themselves throughout the day, cheering and laughing while making friends along the way.

Later that evening, the group gathered under the gazebo for a top-notch dinner, personally prepared by chefs Buzz and Kelly Neilsen. It was an awesome treat!
