Awesome Unlimited Hydroplane Results at the World Championship Oryx Cup

Ted Porter’s U-5 Formulaboats.com and U-7 Graham Trucking Unlimited Hydroplane race teams had an amazing weekend at the World Championship Oryx Cup in Doha, Qatar, November 19 and 20.

U-7 earned 2nd place overall at the World Championship while U-5 came in fourth. U-5 finished 2nd in all four preliminary heats, while U-7 finished with three 1st places and one 2nd place in the four preliminary heats. U-5 was the 3rd fastest qualifier, bumping U-7 with just minutes to go in the final qualifying period.

J. Michael Kelly in U-7 lead the final race but was passed on the third lap to finish 2nd for the weekend. Jeff Bernard in the U-5 raced very well in traffic to clinch 4th for the final race. It was a great weekend with numerous reasons to celebrate!
