Formula’s Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri dealer, Glencove Marine, held their 12th annual Formula Rendezvous and it once again proved a huge success! Held in July, 2007, with 51 Formulas and over 200 participants, owners gathered for a “Parrot Head” weekend of fun in the sun, great entertainment and camaraderie!

Friday afternoon kicked off at Jeremiah’s Night Club at the Horny Toad on Lake of the Ozarks, dancing and relaxing to the sounds of the Tiki Lounge Lizard Band. Glencove also had games for the kids, a craft table to make and design their own creations, plus a limbo contest. Some great Formula prizes were handed out to the kids. But the fun wasn’t over…the adults kicked off their flip-flops and put on their Jimmy Buffet attire for the “Best-dressed Parrot Head/Jimmy Buffet” contest. The costumes, ideas and craftsmanship were amazing. Participants enjoyed themselves and made great memories! Extra prizes were also handed out to the participants who could provide the most “entertaining” limbo demonstration.

The next day, the Formula boaters headed out to raft off around the Picnic Barge. After the boaters safely tied up, the fun really began.  An incredible aqua park surrounded the group, and inflatable toys, water totters, “icebergs,” trampolines, a moonwalk and water bikes were provided to the crew for a day of fun! Later that afternoon, a picnic lunch of grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and sides was served –an excellent afternoon treat.  Boaters also relaxed or danced to a live DJ, and some even entered a canoe/kayak race where they had to make it around the aqua park without tipping over!

Glencove Marine will continue their Formula excitement for 2008. The dealership will soon begin their third year of Formula Friday events held on the lake. The fun will begin the last week of  April and continue through September.
