This summer’s annual Hilltop Marine Formula Rendezvous started at Jamestown Marina Yacht Club on beautiful Lake Cumberland in Kentucky, themed “The Formula Pirates.” The dealership even had a party barge decorated as a pirate ship – it was great entertainment for the participants, and it was a great way to meet and greet the owners as they checked in and received a Formula goodie bag. The turnout proved to be bigger than all other years – 96 Formula owners!

After all of the boaters arrived and settled in, it was time for fun in the hot, hot sun. The dealership had a water trampoline, frisbees, beach balls, footballs and floats for the participants to lounge around and enjoy the scenery and great Formula company. Around 10 a.m. a full array of fresh fruit, muffins and bagels were served – a delicious treat, indeed!  

Later that evening, Hilltop Marine held a reception with gifts galore, hosted by Key Bank N.A. and Formula boats. “Reno Stake House,” a local restaurant, catered the dinner. Attendees enjoyed all the grilled steaks, chicken and salmon with all the trimmings that any “pirate” could want to feast upon. The tables were set up with goblets and treasure chests full of dinner mints and nuts donated by Sharp’s Candy, owned by a Formula boater who attended. A large treasure chest was set up, full of prizes for the kids to dig through and pick out their favorite treasures – it was a hit!
