Falvey's Family Formula

It was eighty degrees in New Hampshire today, so this means that season 43 is about to begin for my Formula Jr.

Zeke Westerson of Yacht Distributors in Saybrook, Connecticut, found an unsold Formula Jr. in a dealer’s showroom in Mamaroneck, New York, back in 1965 and asked me if I wanted it. It was a stretch for a young family with a third child due, but young families do those kinds of things, so we said yes. And, powered by a Merc 150 straight six, our Formula became a member of our growing family.

Now my grandchildren ski behind a V-six Merc repowered boat that has never been restored. It has been run hard all these years in Long Island Sound and Boston Harbor, as well as all the major lakes in New Hampshire.
