The Mosley's 242 Sun Sport--Saved!

We are in love with our '87 Vintage 242 Sun Sport. We rescued--the first time my husband drove through the neighborhood she called out to him, "Save me from a fate worse than death!" To see this thing of beauty just wasting away in a neighbor's yard was sacrilege...

So there she sadly sat, desired by many and loved by none, until on a fateful evening, we attended a charitable event. By chance someone seated across the table asked, "Do you know anyone who wants to buy a boat?" Kenny's response was, "It wouldn't happen to be that Formula at the corner house?" "Matter of fact it is," came the response. "I know that boat and I'll take her. She has been calling out to me for months."

She needed the engine rebuilt, so Kenny did it. Then we discovered the outdrive needed to be rebuilt. We found the starter needed to be replaced and then an oil hose blew. It has been a labor of love to bring her back. We buffed out the gelcoat and gave her the gleam of the truly loved queen that Formula intended her to be.

She will have her christening soon. We have chosen the name Bella Cosa, which in Italian means "Beautiful Thing."
