DECATUR, IN—With striking hull lines and a continental flair, the 400 Super Sport combines exhilarating speed, luxurious comfort and endless storage capacity for both daytime excursions and long-range journeys. Measuring 41 feet six inches in length with an 11′ beam, the 400 SS is equipped with the now-famous FAS3TECH™ hull. Customized for the 400, it boasts a stable, dry ride with the agility of a true performer and top speeds near 60 mph utilizing sterndrive power from this twin 370 hp to twin 525 hp packages. Its 22-degree deadrise reveals its performance heritage.

Integrated dash steps and the beautiful stainless steel curved-glass windshield with center walk-through allows excellent access to the forward deck and the totally concealed anchor windlass. A yacht-style anchor stowage/release conceals the shank of the anchor inside the hull. The foredeck is accented by four custom gull-wing hatches. Also enhancing its unique silhouette is the forward-swept radar arch.

Storage compartments are design-integrated throughout the 400 SS cockpit, allowing everything to be stowed neatly away in specific areas. A large U-shaped lounge starboard of the transom entry accommodates a meal or snack by adding the tables, and the lounge can also be filled in with cushions to form a king-size sunning area. Forward, the port seat is perfect for three seated passengers or one reclining, while an innovative, two-position helm seat provides excellent support while sitting or standing. The expansive command seat will also accommodate two more passengers, so it is possible to seat up to 12 people in comfort. A molded fiberglass cockpit wetbar includes a Corian® countertop, sink, pullout refrigerator with beverage racks, trash receptacle, storage for two standard Igloo® coolers and a 110V GFCI outlet.

The 400 Sun Sport’s unique pneumatic transom trunk located on the swim platform opens easily to access a fender rack and four fenders plus cockpit table and filler cushions storage. Deep storage is also found beneath the aft and starboard side seat.

In the cabin, an expansive, curved UltraLeather™ lounge forward converts into a double berth when the adjustable height dining tables are lowered and filler cushions are put into place. Standard are a 26″ LCD TV/DVD combo player and a premium stereo system with 10-disc CD player and six-month subscription to Sirius™ Satellite digital broadcast.

A Corian countertop and beautiful high-gloss Deep Cherry-finish cabinets showcase the galley while the countertop’s rounded edges “waterfall” to meet the cabinets seamlessly. A standup refrigerator/freezer is concealed behind doors and the polished stainless sink with European style faucet accents the countertop. The impressive list of galley equipment includes an electric stove, integrated trash receptacle and microwave oven.

The aft cabin stateroom features a full-length cedar-lined hanging locker, queen-size bed and entertainment unit/storage with drawers at the foot of the bed; the headboard conceals yet another storage compartment. A built-in bedside table has 12V and 110V outlets for cellular phone chargers and alarm clocks.

The head compartment displays a curved vanity with a Corian® countertop, stainless sink and storage below. The shower area is equipped with a residential shower head, bottles storage and a convenient molded-in seat.

Regardless of the adventure planned, from a leisurely day cruise with friends to a long-range journey to the islands, the sophisticated Formula 400 Super Sport is the ideal combination of upscale luxury and performance.
