I wanted to share with you our 1983 Formula 242 LS. It is restored and we love it. The interior is brand new. New gauges with rewiring. Original teak swim platform has been restored. New rub rail. Engine is a new 350 mag Mercruiser with Alpha 1, high performance prop. We purchased the boat this summer from a dealer. We contacted the previous owner to get as much information as possible. He traded the boat in to upgrade to a bigger newer Formula. One of the first things he said is that he wished he had kept this boat as well. We reassured him that the boat went to a good home and it would be well cared for. The boat is kept in a covered slip and always up on a lift at Lake Monroe in Bloomington, IN.
The boat has timeless lines and although vintage it still looks good in the water. We get a lot of great comments as we idle through coves. Our family and our yellow lab enjoy our lake life and we are loyal Formula owners.
